Turkey Conducts Large-Scale Naval Exercises
Turkey is conducting a naval exercise unprecedented in its history in the Aegean and Mediterranean seas. The maritime drill, named 'Denizkurdu 2021', involves a total force of 25,000 personnel, according to Ermeni Haber.
The exercises include 132 ships, 10 submarines, 43 aircraft, 28 helicopters, and 14 drones. In addition to naval forces, land and aerial units, as well as 10 civilian organizations and the Turkish Red Crescent, are participating.
The exercises, which began on May 25, will conclude on June 5.
