No Armenian Position Captured by Azerbaijanis in Vardenis Border Area, MoD States
Certain media outlets have reported that Azerbaijanis have captured an Armenian position in the Vardenis border area. The information verification center from the Armenian Armed Forces General Staff has categorically denied this claim.
“Not only have the Azerbaijanis not captured any Armenian position, but theoretically, they could not have done so either. In the border area where Azerbaijanis attempted to advance, there are simply no combat positions, and it is merely an open space that, along with the Azerbaijani military personnel present there, is under the control of Armenian units,” clarified the Armed Forces General Staff of Armenia.
