Levon Kocharian: 'I find Pashinyan's statement that the March 1 case has been solved ridiculous'
If there were a few people who doubted the fabricated nature of the criminal case against former President Robert Kocharian and others, they have now been convinced on this matter. Today, Levon Kocharian, the son of Kocharian, stated in a conversation with journalists, referring to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's statement made yesterday in Republic Square.
Pashinyan claimed that the March 1 case is essentially solved according to his assessment. He reminded that there are defendants standing before the court in the case.
“I find Pashinyan's statement that the March 1 case has been solved ridiculous; it is another piece of nonsense he has thrown out. Pashinyan always wants to bring something new into this case to essentially cover up the fact that for years they have deceived people and redirected the arrows of this criminal case elsewhere,” Levon Kocharian said.
According to him, Pashinyan should have said something to his supporters gathered in the square, and that is why he announced that the case was solved. Kocharian's son noted that Pashinyan had also declared years ago that when he comes to power, everything regarding this case would be resolved in a few days. However, as Levon Kocharian pointed out, several years passed, and now we see the results.
He concluded his remarks by stating that the criminal case against his father is quite far from justice.
It is noteworthy that today’s hearing in the case against Kocharian and others was postponed due to the former Deputy Prime Minister Armen Gevorgyan's illness. Supporters of Kocharian gathered in the courthouse and briefly blocked Arshakunyats Avenue. After the hearing was postponed, they marched towards Baghramyan Avenue, joining the Homeland Salvation Movement.
