Prime Minister Misled About Iskander Situation, Spokesperson Mane Gevorgyan
The Prime Minister of Armenia and the President of the Russian Federation recently discussed, among other issues, the Prime Minister's statement on the use of the Iskander system by Armenia during a phone conversation. This was clarified by Prime Minister's spokesperson Mane Gevorgyan in an interview with Armenpress.
“Based on the combination of available facts and data, the Prime Minister has concluded that he was not accurately informed regarding this situation. Furthermore, the Prime Minister's statement has no relation to the content and quality of Armenian-Russian allied relations in the field of military and defense industry cooperation. There is no doubt that Russian weapons are among the best in the world. The Republic of Armenia continues to closely cooperate with the Russian Federation in the fields of military industry and high technologies and intends to take steps to deepen this cooperation,” Gevorgyan stated.
