Call for 'Death to Traitors' is a Threat of Violence Against Nikol Pashinyan: Narek Malyan Charged

The Investigative Committee's division for serious crimes has clarified in writing that the call for 'death to traitors' constitutes a threat of violence against Nikol Pashinyan, and I have been charged under Article 226.2 of the RA Criminal Code. This was stated on the Facebook page of Narek Malyan, the leader of the 'VETO' civic movement.

It should be noted that yesterday a futuristic performance titled 'The Execution of Ceaușescu or Death to Traitors' was held on Baghramyan Avenue. The performance depicted the execution of former Romanian leader Nicolae Ceaușescu and his wife.

Recall that this futuristic performance was initially scheduled to be presented before a major rally on February 20, but at that time the police detained the performance's director, Narek Malyan, and prevented the participants from bringing the performance's props to Freedom Square.
