Masked Armed Robbery at Currency Exchange Point in Yerevan
Today, on February 22, an armed robbery took place in Yerevan. Around 14:30, a masked individual armed with a grenade entered a currency exchange point located at 6/7 Kajaznuni Street and threatened staff while stealing cash before fleeing the scene. This information was reported by shamshyan.com.
At this moment, a team from the Armenian police has arrived at the scene, including the Deputy Chief of Police Aram Hovhannisyan, Vardan Vardanyan, head of the police's criminal investigation department, Sevan Kocharyan, the chief of Yerevan police, and Arthur Zakaryan, deputy head for operational duties.
Materials are being prepared regarding the incident at the investigation department of the Kentron and Norq Marash administrative districts. Traffic on the mentioned street has been temporarily suspended.
