Murder in Lori Province: 35-Year-Old Man Sustains Multiple Injuries to Head and Body
Yesterday, at around 20:10, the police department of Tumanyan received a call from the Alaverdi Medical Center reporting that a man had been brought in with multiple injuries to his head and body.
Photographer Gagik Shamsyan reports that law enforcement officials have been dispatched to the hospital. Police and investigators have determined that the deceased was 35-year-old Ashkharhabek Janinyan, a resident of the village of Odzun in Lori Province. According to preliminary information, he was transported to the hospital not by an ambulance but rather by a vehicle of unspecified make and license plate.
A criminal case has been opened under Article 104, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia. Operational investigation teams have been formed to clarify the circumstances of the incident and to solve the crime.
