New Earthquake in Armenia Felt in Yerevan and Several Regions of Ararat Province
A new earthquake occurred 13 km southwest of Yerevan. The intensity of the tremors in the epicentral zone was reported to be 2-3 magnitude in several communities of Ararat Province, according to the Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations Armen Pambukhchyan on his Facebook page.
On February 14, at 01:47 local time (21:47 GMT on February 13), the seismic network of the RA Ministry of Emergency Situations registered an earthquake at geographical coordinates of 40.07° north latitude and 44.48° east longitude, 13 km southwest of Yerevan, with a depth of 10 km and a magnitude of 2.4. The intensity of the underground shock in the epicentral zone was recorded at 3 magnitude.
The earthquake was felt in Yerevan and several communities of Ararat Province with an intensity of 2-3 magnitude.
