Armed Assault in Yerevan: Man Holds Bank Employee at Gunpoint and Demands Money
A serious incident has occurred in Yerevan recently. A man, armed with a weapon, entered the "ACBA Credit Agricole Bank" located at 64 Sundukyan Street in the Arabkir administrative district and held a female employee at gunpoint, stealing about 2.5 million AMD before fleeing the scene.
According to reports from shamshyan.com, the perpetrator was unable to escape as Hayk Petrosyan, the manager of the bank's Arabkir branch, and security staff member Karen Manukyan chased him down and neutralized him outside, risking their lives. The suspect has recently been taken to the Arabkir division of the police, and an operational group from the Arabkir police department has arrived at the bank under the leadership of the division head, Armen Vatyan.
Investigators from the Yerevan Investigative Committee's Arabkir department are also working on-site. An operational group from the Yerevan police department, led by the head of the criminal investigation department, Hovhannes Aristakesyan, has also arrived. The police and investigative department are working to determine the identity of the bank robber.
