«Armenia» penitentiary staff prevent drug delivery disguised as medication to inmate
Staff members of the «Armenia» penitentiary of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia, acting on operational information, conducted an inspection on February 1 at approximately 16:10, targeting the medication brought by citizen T. G. for inmate S. H.
During the search, heroin and methamphetamine, disguised in factory zip packets and intended to imitate a medication called «Katafast», were discovered instead of the actual medication. The substances weighed 1.03 grams and 0.67 grams, respectively.
This was reported by the Public Relations Department of the Prison Service of the RA. Investigations are underway regarding this incident, and a forensic examination has been appointed.
