Azerbaijan Begins Construction of Fuzuli International Airport
Azerbaijan has initiated construction work on the Fuzuli International Airport, which has come under its control. The airport's construction is expected to be completed in April-May 2022. Javaraq Shiriev, the chief engineer of the organization responsible for the airport's construction, announced that the construction progress has been relatively slow due to ongoing mine clearance operations in the area.
“From this spring, construction will proceed at an accelerated pace, and around-the-clock work is planned. Additionally, this year it is also expected to complete the construction of a 3000-meter-long runway,” Shiriev noted.
