A Massive Stretch of Highway Has Collapsed

A massive section of one of California's highways has collapsed, sliding into the ocean. The cause is attributed to a snowstorm, as reported by CNN.

Officials from the California Department of Transportation stated in a press release that the landslide began from a hillside, destroying a significant portion of the highway and damaging a scenic area of nature, with the detached segment ending up in the ocean.

Images from the scene were captured by drones. Experts noted that the location of the landslide is just a mile away from the area affected by forest fires that erupted in the state last year.
