Earthquake 33 km Northeast of Nakhichevan. Felt in Vayots Dzor Province
On January 21, at 23:23 local time (19:23 GMT), a 3.8 magnitude earthquake was registered by the seismic protection service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia. The earthquake epicenter was located at geographical coordinates 39.50° North latitude and 45.52° East longitude, 33 km northeast of Nakhichevan city, at a depth of 10 km. This information was reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The intensity of the underground tremor in the epicentral zone was measured at 5 points. The earthquake was also felt in the towns of Vayk and Yeghgnadzor in Vayots Dzor Province and in several settlements of Syunik Province, with an intensity of 3-4 points.
