Pashinyan and Tsarukyan to Meet; BHK Responds to Nikol Pashinyan's Proposal
The Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) has responded to Nikol Pashinyan's proposal and has decided to participate in political consultations. This has been reported by Hraparak.am.
“Today, Gagik Tsarukyan and representatives of the BHK faction in the National Assembly will meet with Nikol Pashinyan to discuss the situation in the country. Each side will participate in this meeting with their own agenda. Nikol Pashinyan has decided to bring the second political force in the country to his side; therefore, he intends to propose forming a government of consensus with the participation of the BHK, where the opposition's second force will have several ministerial portfolios and a more favorable starting position during elections,” the media outlet writes.
He will also propose to create a coalition government and then go to elections within the next six months. Meanwhile, Gagik Tsarukyan states that he comes to the meeting with one agenda item — the demand for resignation.
Furthermore, the leaders of the Homeland Salvation Movement have discussed the issue of this meeting, and opinions are divided; some forces are categorically against such a meeting, while others support it, but only for discussing the resignation issue,” the media reports.
