Six Conscripts Who Heroically Struggled for More Than 70 Days in Uncertainty Have Just Returned to the Homeland
“I would like to express my gratitude to Russian President Vladimir Putin, whose direct efforts have significantly contributed to the ongoing intensive search for missing persons and, of course, the repatriation of the remains of the deceased,” said Artsakh President Arayik Harutyunyan on his Facebook page.
“Dear compatriots, as a result of the search operations conducted in territories under enemy control, our six conscripts, who heroically struggled for more than 70 days in uncertainty, have just returned to the Homeland, bringing joy to all of us in these trying times. This significant achievement is thanks to the efforts of the Russian peacekeeping forces in Artsakh and the International Committee of the Red Cross.
Additionally, I would like to extend my special thanks to Rustam Muradov, the commander of the Russian peacekeeping contingent in Artsakh, to Arthur Avagyan, who accompanied the boys to their location, and to the entire staff of the State Emergency Service of Artsakh, whose heroic work I will have the opportunity to address further.
Below, I am publishing the names of our six saved compatriots, whose relatives have already been properly informed:
- Ayvazyan Arsen Karenovich
- Ohakyan Davit Geghamovich
- Stepanyan Nikolay Seyranovich
- Harutyunyan Arthur Garikovich
- Armaghanyan Arman Arshakovich
- Tumanyan Ruslan Sarkisovich
