Road Closures and Difficult Travel Conditions in Armenia
The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia reports that there are closed and difficult-to-navigate roads across the country. The roads leading to the Amberd Fortress and Kari Lake in the Aragatsotn region are closed.
In the Vayots Dzor region, snow is falling in the city of Jermuk. There is fog in the Saravan-Zanger section.
On the Gégarkunik and Syunik regions’ Goris-Sisian roads, particularly in an area known as "Meghru Sar," there are patches of black ice.
According to information from the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs and the North Ossetian crisis management center of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Stepantsminda-Larsi road is open to all types of vehicles.
As per the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the ban on foreigners entering Georgia remains in effect; however, it does not apply to cargo transportation.
Drivers are advised to travel exclusively on winter tires.
