10 Individuals Arrested in Connection with Criminal Case Regarding Organizing and Holding Gatherings
In the framework of a criminal case initiated by the Special Investigation Service of the Republic of Armenia regarding violations of the law related to organizing and holding gatherings by high-ranking officials and other individuals, the following individuals have been arrested:
- Gagik Tsarukyan under Article 225.1, part 1 of the RA Criminal Code,
- Garnik Isaghulyan under Article 307.1, part 1 of the RA Criminal Code,
- Suren Surenyants under Articles 225.1, part 1 and 307.1, part 1 of the RA Criminal Code,
- Gegham Manukyan under Article 225.1, part 1 of the RA Criminal Code,
- David Hambardzumyan under Article 225.1, part 1 of the RA Criminal Code,
- Ara Sahakyan under Article 225.1, part 1 of the RA Criminal Code,
- Arthur Vanetsyan under Articles 225.1, part 1 and 307.1, part 1 of the RA Criminal Code,
- Eduard Sharmazanov under Article 225.1, part 1 of the RA Criminal Code,
- Arthur Ghazinyan under Article 307.1, part 1 of the RA Criminal Code,
- Iskhan Saghatelyan under Article 307.1, part 1 of the RA Criminal Code for suspected offenses.
Vahagn Chakhalyan and Hrachya Ghukasyan are involved in the criminal case as suspects for offenses defined in Article 225.1, part 1 of the RA Criminal Code. For them, a preventive measure of not leaving the country has been chosen.
The preliminary investigation is ongoing.
Notice: The suspect or accused in the alleged crime is considered innocent until proven guilty in accordance with the law defined by the RA Criminal Procedure Code and the judgment that has come into legal force by the court.
