Artsakh Ombudsman Presents Situation in Artsakh to Belgian MP
The Human Rights Defender of Artsakh, Artak Beglaryan, met with Georges Dalmani, a member of the Belgian Federal Parliament, to discuss the humanitarian situation created in Artsakh due to Azerbaijani aggression. This was reported by the Artsakh Ombudsman’s office.
Artak Beglaryan detailed the consequences of Azerbaijan's deliberate and indiscriminate targeting of civilian settlements and facilities in Artsakh, as well as incidents reflecting Azerbaijan's inhumane treatment of Armenian captives and the bodies of fallen soldiers, which are summarized in reports published by the Ombudsman.
The Human Rights Defender emphasized that despite significant efforts on the ground to gather facts related to the humanitarian disaster, the presence of international partners, parliamentary bodies, and human rights organizations is crucial for conducting an effective fact-finding mission.
