Complete Lie: Statement from the Armenian Foreign Ministry
The Armenian Foreign Ministry has issued a statement, which we present below:
Today, the Armenian Ministry of Defense announced that Azerbaijan's statement regarding a missile attack from Armenia towards the Barda region is a complete lie; neither the Armed Forces of Armenia nor the Defense Army of Artsakh fired any missiles in that direction.
For the past month, Azerbaijan has unleashed a large-scale war against the people of Artsakh, and throughout this period, one of the integral tools in the Azerbaijani arsenal has been the false accusations against the Armenian side for violating the ceasefire, attempting to evade responsibility for the failure of the ceasefire agreements reached through the mediation of the leaders of the OSCE Minsk Group.
This was also the case today, as Azerbaijani forces subjected the Nngi village in the Martuni region of Artsakh to cluster missile attacks, where displaced civilians from other parts of Artsakh had taken refuge. As a result of the attack, there are casualties and injuries among the civilian population.
At the same time, the Azerbaijani side spread false news regarding shelling in the Barda region. The latest cheap provocation from Azerbaijan confirms the simple fact that there is no alternative to the implementation of international verification mechanisms. It is notable that Azerbaijan persistently avoids the establishment of such a system.
