Armenian Ministry of Defense representative Artur Hovhannisyan addressed the figures mentioned by the Russian President regarding casualties during the recent escalation of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

“Is it not clear from the statement that generalized figures have been provided? Specific numbers could not be mentioned by the Russian President; this was excluded. Undoubtedly, the adversary, Azerbaijan's armed forces, and various mercenary groups that are conducting war in alliance with them have suffered significantly more casualties compared to our recorded losses. This is beyond discussion and is an absolute truth,” he stated.

It is noteworthy that earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that since the beginning of the new phase of the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh, the total number of casualties for both sides has approached 5,000.
