4 Billion Dollar Investment: Firebird's Artificial Intelligence Center Opens in Hrazdan
The Firebird company has opened an artificial intelligence center in Hrazdan, which, according to the U.S. Embassy in Armenia, marks a new phase in the development of the AI sector in Armenia.
The opening ceremony was attended by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, U.S. Chargé d'Affaires David Allen, and representatives from Firebird. The U.S. Embassy reports that the project includes a planned investment of $4 billion. According to the embassy, it brings advanced American technologies and AI infrastructure to Armenia.
The investment will enable Armenia to position itself as a regional hub for data centers, cloud computing, and AI innovation. U.S. Chargé d'Affaires David Allen emphasized that the combination of American and Armenian talent and innovation could create new opportunities for economic growth and technological development.
The embassy also highlighted that the opening of the center is an example of the growing Armenian-American partnership and is linked to agreements reached in Washington on August 8, which included three memorandums of understanding, one of which pertains to collaboration in the fields of artificial intelligence and semiconductors.
