12 Permanent Committees to be Established in the 9th Convocation of the National Assembly
The Parliament has approved the draft decision to establish permanent committees in the 9th convocation of the National Assembly. The draft was presented by Arusyak Julhakyan, a member of the ‘Civil Contract’ faction.
The proposal suggests creating 12 permanent committees in the 9th convocation of the National Assembly. According to Julhakyan, the number of deputies in the factions has been taken into account. The ‘Civil Contract’ faction has 64 members, ‘Strong Armenia’ has 29, and the ‘Armenia’ faction has 12 members.
The draft also proposes to set the minimum number of members for the permanent committees at 8, considering the workload of the committees. The decision was accepted with 60 votes in favor, 0 against, and 15 abstentions.
