Many Request the Government to Allow Special Flights for Armenians in Beirut to Move to Armenia: MP
Following the horrific explosion in Beirut, it is possible that toxic substances have been released into the air, posing a threat to life. The city authorities, as well as the Lebanese Ministry of Health, are urging citizens to leave the city as soon as possible.
This was announced in a Facebook post by Anna Costanyan, a member of the National Assembly of Armenia from the "Enlightened Armenia" faction. She wrote: "At this moment, many familiar and unfamiliar Armenians are appealing to the Armenian government to allow special flights for Armenians residing in Beirut to move to Armenia. I believe that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia should work together with the government to organize the relocation of Lebanese Armenians to Armenia as quickly and efficiently as possible; merely expressing condolences does not help."
