1 Month Given to Antique Goods Market Traders to Discuss Relocating Trade
Some traders have reached an agreement with a representative of the Yerevan Municipality to vacate the area after August 15, while discussing the possibility of organizing trade in another location before that date. According to Tert.am, some have pointed out that this area is convenient, customers are familiar with its location, there is transport access to the area, and they oppose relocating to another site.
Today, a protest action concluded, resulting in one citizen being detained. It is recalled that the protesters mentioned they might reach an agreement with Mayor Hayk Marutyan to find a space for conducting trade. The municipality announced that two alternative locations have been proposed to them. Concurrently with the protest, the police urged maintaining social distance and properly wearing masks.
