The U.S. to Send Anti-Corruption Expert to Armenia: RT
The U.S. Department of State plans to send an expert to assist the Armenian government in the fight against corruption. The expert will collaborate with the Ministry of Justice of the Republic and will contribute to the promotion of reforms.
“The consultant will support the Armenian government in establishing new anti-corruption entities and enhancing their effectiveness. These institutions will investigate cases of corruption and hold corrupt officials accountable,” the statement from the Department of State, cited by RT, said.
The media outlet notes that the American expert will provide consultation to the Armenian authorities on the development and implementation of law enforcement reforms. The consultant will also organize training tours, conduct courses for investigators, and manage programs funded by Washington. As emphasized by the agency, only U.S. citizens may apply for this position.
