A Sad Day for Christians and All Who Believe in Pluralistic Turkey
Member of the Turkish pro-Kurdish Peoples' Democratic Party and Armenian MP Garo Paylan wrote on his Facebook page: "A sad day for Christians and all who believe in pluralistic Turkey. The decision to return the status of Hagia Sophia to a mosque will complicate life here for Christians and for Muslims in Europe. Hagia Sophia was a symbol of our rich history. Its dome was large enough for everyone."
It is worth noting that Hagia Sophia in Istanbul, which lost its status as a museum, has been registered as a mosque.
