Arakel Movsisyan Can Now Meet His Son as Court Accepts Defender's Appeal

The former Armenian National Assembly member Arakel Movsisyan's son, Davit Movsisyan's defender, Gor Gevorgyan, wrote on his Facebook page: "Another significant victory... The court today accepted my appeal and recorded a violation of Davit Movsisyan's rights, obliging the preliminary investigation body to eliminate it. I would like to remind you that this concerns the decision regarding the prohibition of Davit's visits and phone calls.”

It is noteworthy that on January 30, 2020, around 13:15, at the Artsakh Defense Army training center, conscript soldier Vahram Mkrtich's Avagyan opened fire on his chest with an AKM-type rifle and was taken to the military hospital with gunshot wounds, where his biological death was recorded at 14:00. A criminal case was initiated in the first garrison investigative department under the first part of Article 110 of the RA Criminal Code, and preliminary investigations are underway. In the framework of the criminal case regarding the soldier's death, Davit Arakel Movsisyan, Khachik Armen Gasparyan, and Spartak Artur Avetisyan were arrested.
