Pictures: Attempt to Set Fire to the Bundestag Building

Unknown individuals attempted to set fire to the Bundestag building in Berlin during the night. The Berlin police quickly arrived at the scene, but the perpetrators had managed to hide. It is still unclear whether the surveillance system captured their actions or not. The federal police are conducting an investigation. This was reported by the Korrespondent, citing German sources.

According to reports, an attempt was made to ignite the Reichstag building. Unknown individuals poured a flammable liquid onto a wooden board placed in place of a window on the eastern side of the building and set it on fire.

The firefighting efforts were successfully completed in half an hour. Since the building is under special surveillance, 50 firefighters were summoned to the scene.
