VIDEO: Is Armenia Already Spending Funds from the Reserve Fund? Takhouhi Tovmasyan Questions the Deputy Minister

During today's extraordinary session of the National Assembly, which addressed the ratification of the letter-agreement signed between the Republic of Armenia and the International Monetary Fund on May 23 and June 1, 2020, MP Takhouhi Tovmasyan from the 'My Step' faction asked reporter Armen Hayrapetyan to respond to criticism regarding Armenia's use of reserves from the reserve fund, and the imminent national security issues we may face.

Deputy Minister of Finance Armen Hayrapetyan replied that he does not see a national security problem. “We are working consistently and conducting various scenario assessments to understand the extent to which financial stability is ensured in the country. If we see any risks, we will naturally take measures in that direction,” he stated. He then added that if the MP refers to concerns about financial fiscal instability and insufficient budgetary resources, he does not see such a problem.
