Emergency Medical Team Responds to Unusual Call
An extraordinary incident in extraordinary circumstances: At dawn on May 5, 2020, the emergency medical team of the Masis Medical Center was dispatched to a call at a specific address in Ayntap. However, upon arrival, they realized that the call was anything but ordinary.
According to a post on the Masis Medical Center's Facebook page, a woman was already in labor, entering an active phase. Emergency physician Ashot Arakelyan and nurse Yanna Gabrielian promptly began to assist with the delivery. The situation was complicated, necessitating the addition of another team member, Dr. Davit Galstyan, a specialist in obstetrics and gynecology.
A healthy baby girl was born, and Dr. Arakelyan conducted resuscitation measures. After stabilizing both the baby and the mother, they were transported to the hospital. The conditions of both the mother and the infant were assessed as satisfactory. This entire scenario speaks to the high level of professionalism and teamwork demonstrated by the staff.
“We thank our doctors for their commitment to their oath and their deserving of the title of those who wear the white coat… Long live our heroes!” stated the medical center's Facebook page.
