12-Year-Old Child Commits Suicide in Sotk Village
A 12-year-old child has committed suicide in the village of Sotk, situated in the Gegharkunik province. This was reported by the village mayor, Hakob Avetyan, in an interview with Lurer.com. 'He was the elder in the family and the fact of suicide is a puzzle for us. He came from a good family, did not have financial issues, and there were no alcoholics at home. Today, I met with the parents, who also do not understand why their child would do such a thing.'
According to Avetyan, the child had been playing a lot of computer games recently. 'And in these games, we all know there is blood and violence. It's strange that the child did not create a noose; it was done in some incomprehensible way. It’s possible he wanted to scare the other children or try something; perhaps this is the result of negligence. We are considering all theories since this whole situation is profoundly tragic.'
The mayor also noted that there is no apparent reason that could have led to this action.
