11 New Cases of Coronavirus Registered in Russia

During the last day, 11 new cases of coronavirus have been registered in Russia. This information was reported by rbc.ru, referencing the operational headquarters for fighting coronavirus in Russia.

Out of the infected cases, 5 were recorded in Moscow, 3 in St. Petersburg, and 1 each in the Moscow region, Leningrad region, and Perm region. According to the headquarters, the patients had traveled to European countries where outbreaks of coronavirus have occurred in the last two weeks.

All patients have been hospitalized in infectious disease departments.

The Chinese authorities informed the World Health Organization about the coronavirus outbreak on December 31. It is known that the virus has spread from the city of Wuhan in Hubei province. Most of the infections outside China have been detected in South Korea, Iran, and Italy. In total, cases of the infection have been confirmed in more than 110 countries.

Globally, the total number of infected people has reached 131,621, with 4,940 deaths reported and more than 68,500 people having recovered.
