Pashinyan Sets Conditions for German Owners of Zangezur Copper Molybdenum Combine
During the "Yes" campaign in Kajaran, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan addressed the mining sector, stating that it must operate according to international standards.
Pashinyan also shared that during a meeting with the German owners of the Zangezur Copper Molybdenum Combine, he proposed to gradually transition to conditions similar to those in mining operations in Germany.
"I said that by German standards, I mean not only the environmental and production cycle issues, and safety, but also the protection of workers' rights. A citizen working in the mining sector in Armenia must be as protected in their rights as a citizen in Germany. And third, I said that we will have a very serious problem if I ever learn that the management of the factory is obstructing the free expression of workers at the combine for any political purpose. We will have a very serious problem with each other," the Prime Minister stated.
