A De Facto Economic Crisis Approaches Our Borders: MP
Arman Abovyan, a member of the Prosperous Armenia parliamentary faction, has written: “Well, dear people, while the proud citizens of our country are preoccupied with internal political matters, a de facto economic crisis has approached our borders. Yes, dear ones, it can be stated from today that a severe economic crisis has begun in the world. The global economic and financial institutions have been shaken since early yesterday morning by the decline in key economic indicators. Oil is already selling at $31, the lowest price since 1991.
The exchange rate of the Russian ruble has sharply declined in Russia. Let me just remind you that this at least means a shortage of financial flows coming from Russia to Armenia, and simultaneous direct losses; apparently, we will also lose indirectly formed revenues connected with Russia.
This is not panic, but simply a sign of alarm. Are we prepared, or not?”
