Coronavirus Is Not Artificially Created, Chinese Ambassador in Russia Says
The Chinese ambassador to Russia, Zhang Hanhui, has denied the suggestions regarding the artificial origin of the COVID-19 coronavirus, which has its epicenter in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China, according to Interfax.com.
“I can assure you that it was not artificially created. It is probably a virus like SARS that is transmitted from wild animals,” Zhang Hanhui said during a press briefing at the Chinese embassy in Moscow on Monday.
According to him, the hypothesis that bats are the “hosts” of the disease is being investigated, but has not yet been confirmed.
