Johnson Proposes Reviewing Early Release for Terrorism Convicts
The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Boris Johnson, believes it is time to review the procedures for the early release of those convicted of terrorism-related offenses. He made this statement on February 3, commenting on the terrorist attack carried out the day before in South London.
“We are working on legislation to stop the automatic early release system,” Johnson's remarks were quoted by Reuters.
“It is time to take steps to ensure that individuals (who are involved in such crimes) should not automatically be entitled to early release,” Johnson stated.
