Precipitation Expected: Gagik Surenyan
The head of the Meteorological Center of the RA Ministry of Emergency Situations, Gagik Surenyan, stated on his Facebook page: "We are expecting the penetration of a relatively active cyclone from the Mediterranean Sea. On the evening of January 31, precipitation is expected in most parts of the northern and central regions of the republic, with snow in mountain and foothill areas, and rain mixed with wet snow in the valley areas during the coming night and tomorrow during the day. In certain areas, a wind gust of 15-20 m/s is expected, and blizzard conditions in mountain settlements.
In Yerevan, rain will begin this evening, which will turn into snow during the coming night and continue until tomorrow noon. From the evening hours tomorrow, precipitation will cease across the entire territory of the republic."
