Discussion on the Progress of New Property Tax System Implementation in Government

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan chaired a meeting where the progress of work on implementing the new property tax system was discussed.

Officials reported that all types of real estate across the country have already been assessed according to their categories. The total number amounts to 1 million 279 thousand. Accordingly, various types of property taxes expected in different zones under the new system were presented, aimed at increasing the effectiveness of taxation.

As a result, it is anticipated that a unified and efficient assessment and taxation system for real estate will be implemented in the country.

The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of carrying out reforms in the property tax sector and instructed the responsible officials about the adjustments planned in the system. Nikol Pashinyan also tasked them with preparing a legislative proposal necessary for the implementation of the new system, which will also be subjected to public discussion.
