Doctors Fight for Soldier's Life: Was It Due to an Interpersonal Dispute? David Tonoyan's Response

In a press conference today, Defense Minister David Tonoyan stated, "Yesterday, one of the soldiers stationed in a military unit in the northern direction of the Defense Army received a gunshot wound. This soldier, 22-year-old Henry-Hayk Simon Zakaryan, has life-threatening injuries, but doctors are doing everything possible to save his life." The minister indicated that the soldier would soon be transported to Yerevan. He also mentioned that another soldier, Armen Jonik Mesropyan, has a minor injury.

When asked if the injury was a result of an interpersonal dispute, Tonoyan responded that this would become clear after the preliminary investigation, and he did not want to comment further at this time. "Such incidents do occur; it has simply been beyond certain control," the minister added.
