Hrayr Tovmasyan Discusses with European Commission Officials via Video Call
On January 15, 2020, Hrayr Tovmasyan, the President of the Constitutional Court of Armenia, held a video call discussion with Gianni Buquicchio, the President of the Council of Europe’s European Commission for Democracy through Law (Venice Commission), and other officials from the commission.
During the conversation, they extensively discussed the events surrounding the Constitutional Court following Buquicchio's statement on October 29, 2019, and the adoption of the constitutional law that provides for a "early retirement mechanism" concerning the Constitutional Court.
