First Space Tourist Searches for Companion for Lunar Flight
The first space tourist, Japanese billionaire Yusaku Maezawa, is searching for a companion to fly to the Moon. He has specified that he is looking for a 20-year-old unmarried woman with a "always positive and bright personality."
The historic flight is scheduled for 2023 and will last for one week, as reported by Japan's Abema TV, which will broadcast the journey live.
It is also reported that there will be no national discrimination in the billionaire's announced competition; any 20-year-old woman of any nationality can apply until January 17 of this year.
"I want my future partner and me to shout about our love and world peace from space," stated the billionaire.
It is worth noting that throughout the history of space exploration, only 24 people have visited the Moon. Since the American Apollo-17 mission landed on the lunar surface in 1972, no one has stepped foot there again.
Additionally, Forbes experts estimate Maezawa's fortune at $3.6 billion.
