Deputy Minister Discusses Financial Support for Mothers on Parental Leave

The Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Gemafin Gasparyan, posted on her Facebook page: "Based on the questions received, I would like to clarify. Starting from July 1, 2020, mothers on parental leave will receive a monthly allowance of 26,500 AMD instead of 18,000 AMD until their child turns 2 years old.

Mothers living in rural areas who are unemployed will also receive 26,500 AMD per month until their child turns 2.

Working mothers living in rural areas who are on parental leave will receive 53,000 AMD per month until their child turns 2.

IMPORTANT: The changes to benefits starting from July 1, 2020, apply to all beneficiaries currently receiving them."
