Businessman Claims Property Belongs to Him, Not Hrayr Tovmasyan
An Armenian businessman residing in Russia, Rubik Ghazaryan, asserts that the property attributed to Hrayr Tovmasyan by the prosecutor's office actually belongs to him, since 2009. This was reported by Hraparak.am.
“I was informed that the prosecutor's office issued a statement claiming that the property legally belonging to me, which had been leased, supposedly belongs to Hrayr Tovmasyan. I officially deny this. There is no such thing and there never has been. The prosecutor's office is spreading false information. I am the owner of the property leased, and I purchased it in 2009 with the money I earned in Russia; all legal documents are in my possession. Since I do not live in Armenia, I have leased this property to various individuals at different times,” Ghazaryan stated.
The businessman noted that he plans to come to Armenia soon and will demand accountability from law enforcement for attributing his property rights to another person.
Following the indictment of the President of the Constitutional Court, Hrayr Tovmasyan, the Prosecutor's Office released a statement indicating that during his tenure as Minister of Justice, Tovmasyan coerced the notary chamber president to lease property that supposedly belonged to him, under terms and rental fees of his own choosing.
