Suspicious Tea Found in Nubarashen Penitentiary
On December 26, 2019, at around 16:00, a search was conducted in the package reception room of the Nubarashen Penitentiary of the Ministry of Justice of Armenia. The search involved 13.5 kg and 12.7 kg bags brought by citizen V.G., which contained suspicious greenish masses resembling a type of marijuana mixed with tea.
V.G. claimed that the contents of the bags were regular tea intended for all prisoners and detainees at the Nubarashen penitentiary. Preparations are underway for the relevant materials concerning the incident, and a forensic chemical examination has been ordered.
