I Doubt That Law Enforcement Has the Necessary Capabilities to Uncover the October 27 Case: MP
Arman Babajanyan, a member of the National Assembly, stated on his Facebook page: «Today it became known that the complaint of Anahit Bakhsheyan's lawyer against the decision to close the criminal case of October 27 has been accepted by the Prosecutor General of Armenia, Artur Davtyan.
I deeply doubt that today Armenia’s law enforcement system—specifically the Prosecutor's Office and the National Security Service—has the necessary capabilities to uncover the significance and importance of the October 27 case, and more importantly, whether they will demonstrate sufficient will and determination.
At this critical juncture for the establishment of our statehood, Armenia's law enforcement, especially the judicial system, cannot digest a case as extensive as October 27. I say this with even greater conviction after a two-hour meeting with Nairi Hunanyan in the NSS isolation facility two months ago.
There is no need to rush. The law enforcement system should be given time to mature and only after it stabilizes should it proceed with reopening this case. That the October 27 case must be reopened, and that after its complete unraveling we will finally regain our state dignity, is beyond doubt.»
