Journalist Assaulted, Suspect Turns Himself In to Police

A journalist from the "Kentron" television company reported to the Masis police station on December 24 at 19:00 that around 13:00, while performing his professional duties, he went to one of the fish farms in Hovtashat village. Upon entering the fish farm, a citizen approached him and obstructed his work. Subsequently, other individuals approached the journalist and his operator, physically pulling them, resulting in damage to the lighting equipment of the Sony camera.

According to the press service of the Police of Armenia, as a result of measures taken and explanatory work conducted by police officers, at 22:40 on December 24, a 53-year-old resident of Hovtashat village voluntarily turned himself in and provided a confession. Efforts are underway to clarify all circumstances of the incident. Preparation of materials is ongoing.
