That's a False Accusation: Ruben Hayrapetyan on Ashot Agababyan's Statement

Former MP of the Republican Party, businessman, and former president of the Football Federation of Armenia, Ruben Hayrapetyan, has not yet been interrogated. He made this statement during the 'Country's Question' program on 'Yerkir Media', addressing the criminal case initiated against him.

"Ashot Agababyan has accused me of embezzling funds that UEFA allocated to the 'Hrazdan' stadium prior to the match against Italy. The whole world knows that UEFA has never allocated funds to any private or state institution. Secondly, UEFA has not given a single penny or cent to the football federation to spend on the 'Hrazdan' stadium. It was purely my decision that we should have a proper playing field before the match against Italy. I met with 'Bourna' and proposed that we invest, and they have been providing the stadium for national team matches free of charge for 20 years. We agreed and made investments solely with the federation's funds. This is a false accusation, yet again from that notorious person," he stated.
