VIDEO: Those Responsible for Our Losses Must Answer, Karapetyan
The parliament continues its work in the current session. Today, a draft decision to extend the mandate of the investigative committee studying the circumstances of the military operations in April 2016 was discussed.
Committee member Tigran Karapetyan expressed his gratitude to his colleagues from the Prosperous Armenia and Bright Armenia parties, stating, “From the very first meeting of the committee, we have worked with consensus. There is no political subtext, nor will there be.”
According to him, the committee has honorably passed the last six months, despite what has been said about it. “We have not given and will not give room for any political speculation. We are asking the National Assembly to extend our work for another six months because the scope is very large, and there is still work to be done. The committee was not created to punish anyone; however, if someone’s guilt is established, we will refer to law enforcement bodies. All those individuals, whose omissions have led to casualties and territorial losses, will definitely have to answer.”
