Gas price increase will not be discussed until April 1, Mher Grigoryan
During a Q&A session in parliament with the government, Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan announced that the gas price will not increase during the winter months. This came in response to a question from my steppe MP Gevorg Papoyan regarding the likelihood of a gas price hike for consumers in 2020.
“Negotiations concerning the gas price have taken place, are ongoing, and will continue; this is a completely normal process. Yes, we must always negotiate on this matter. At this point, I can confidently say that, as an interim result of the negotiations, gas will not increase in price during the winter months and the issue of a gas price increase will not be discussed until April 1,” stated the Deputy Prime Minister.
