Tragic Accident on the Sotk-Karvachar Highway

On November 4, at 20:09, the "911" service received information about an accident occurring on the Sotk-Karvachar highway, in an area known as "Haryuri Dzor". There were reported injuries, and assistance from rescuers was required.

A firefighting and rescue team from the Emergency Situations Ministry's regional rescue department was dispatched to the scene.

It was determined that at the 35th km of the Sotk-Karvachar highway, a collision occurred between an "Opel Astra G" (driver: Harutyun M., born in 1978) and a "GAZ-53" (driver: Mirab G.).

Before the rescuers arrived at the scene, the driver of the "Opel Astra G" was transported to the Vardenis Medical Center, but unfortunately succumbed to injuries during transit.

The rescuers disconnected the vehicles' batteries and closed the gas cylinder valves.
